PXRE Group files $700 million shelf

Washington, Nov. 23 - PXRE Group Ltd. filed a $700 million shelf in an S-3 registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The filing includes $198 million in previously registered but unsold securities.

The shelf includes common and preferred stock, depositary shares, convertible common shares, purchase contracts and units, warrants and units.

The Pembroke, Bermuda-based reinsurance firm said offerings authorized by the shelf would be used for general corporate purposes.
