D3 Family Fund continues to build stake in Asset Acceptance Capital

Charlotte, N.C., March 24 - D3 Family Fund, LP and its affiliates increased their ownership interest in Asset Acceptance Capital Corp. to 8.5% from 6.9% with the purchase of 311,683 shares of the company's stock, according to a schedule 13D filing with Securities and Exchange Commission.

The shares were acquired between March 10 and March 20 priced from $8.38 to $9.07, the filing stated.

The investors beneficially own some 2.59 million shares of the company's outstanding stock.

On March 10, investors led by D3 Family Fund reported the purchase of 2,280,609 shares of Asset Acceptance between Jan. 24 and March 7 priced from $8.39 to $10.38, a prior SEC filing said.

Asset Acceptance is a Warren, Mich.-based purchaser and collector of charged-off consumer debt.
