Public Service Co. of New Mexico files shelf for $950 million senior unsecured notes

Knoxville, Tenn., April 1 - Public Service Co. of New Mexico filed a $950 million senior unsecured notes shelf registration in an S-3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Proceeds will be used to retire outstanding debt, to finance a portion of the company's capital expenditures and for other general corporate purposes.

Albuquerque-based Public Service Co. of New Mexico is a public utility.
