Moody’s rates Prudential's senior notes A3

Moody’s Investors Service said it assigned an A3 debt rating to the anticipated offering of up to $1.5 billion of senior notes to be issued by Prudential Financial, Inc.

The notes will be used in conjunction with the company’s recently announced acquisition of Assurance IQ, Moody’s said.

The outlook is stable.
