Aspen Insurance to redeem $125 million of 6% senior notes due 2020

Olympia, Wash., May 16 – Aspen Insurance Holdings Ltd. issued a notice of partial redemption on May 16 in connection with its election to redeem $125 million of its $250 million 6% senior notes due 2020, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The redemption is expected to take place on June 18.

The redemption price will be equal to par plus a make-whole premium calculated using a discount rate of Treasuries plus 45 basis points plus accrued interest up to but excluding the redemption date.

Deutsche Bank Trust Co. Americas is the trustee for the notes

The insurance and reinsurance company is based in Hamilton, Bermuda.
