Protein Polymer Technologies withdraws AMEX listing application

By Jennifer Chiou

New York, Sept. 9 - Protein Polymer Technologies, Inc. said it is withdrawing its application to list its stock on the American Stock Exchange.

The company said its shares will continue to trade on the OTC Bulletin Board under the ticker "PPTI."

"We are continuing to evaluate all the listing options available to us to determine the most appropriate marketplace to list our shares of common stock given our size, growth rate and our business prospects," William N. Plamondon III, chief executive officer, said in a news release.

Protein Polymer said it may reconsider applying to list on AMEX in the future.

Based in San Diego, Protein Polymer Technologies is a biotechnology company that discovers and develops therapeutic devices for soft tissue augmentation, tissue adhesives and sealants, wound healing support and drug delivery devices.
