New Issue: Protective Life prices $250 million three-year notes at Libor plus 50 bps

Des Moines, Jan. 14 - Protective Life Secured Trust 2008-C priced a $250 million issue of secured medium-term notes (Aa3/AA) due Jan. 18, 2011 on Friday at par to yield three-month Libor plus 50 basis points, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Interest is payable quarterly.

The notes are non-callable.

Banc of America Securities LLC is the underwriter.

Settlement is expected on Jan. 18.
