ProShares launches ProShares Short Term USD Emerging Markets Bond ETF

By Toni Weeks

San Luis Obispo, Calif., Nov. 18 - ProShares Trust announced the launch this month of its new emerging markets fixed-income fund, the ProShares Short Term USD Emerging Markets Bond ETF.

According to an N-1A filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the fund seeks investment results, before fees and expenses, that track the performance of the DBIQ Short Duration Emerging Market Bond index. The index is comprised of a diversified portfolio of dollar-denominated emerging market bonds with less than five years to remaining maturities. As of Nov. 5, the index was composed of 115 bonds from 46 different issuers.

Under normal conditions, the fund will invest at least 80% of its total assets in securities of the index.

Alexander Ilyasov is the portfolio manager.

The fund trades on the BATS Exchange under the symbol "EMSH."

The investment adviser, Bethesda, Md.-based ProShares Advisors LLC, will hold total annual fund operating expenses to 0.5% until Sept. 30, 3015.
