ProShares hires Sachs to newly created role of head of capital markets

By Tali David

Minneapolis, Dec. 5 - ProShares announced that Stephen Sachs has been named to the newly created role of head of capital markets, according to a press release

Sachs, most recently with Diamond Hill Capital Management, will oversee ProShares' Capital Markets Group. He reports to Steve Cohen, managing director and head of ProShares' Strategy Group.

"Few people have the deep level of understanding of exchange-traded funds mechanics and market microstructure as Steve Sachs," chairman and CEO of ProShare Advisors LLC Michael Sapir said in the release.

Based in Bethesda, Md., ProShares is the country's fifth-largest exchange-traded fund provider.
