Progressive files $500 million shelf registration for debt securities

Knoxville, Tenn., Aug. 17 - Progressive Corp. filed a $500 million senior debt securities shelf registration in an S-3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

Progressive is a Mayfield Village, Ohio-based holding company. The Progressive Group of Insurance Cos. is an auto insurance group and seller of motorcycle and personal watercraft policies.
