Moody's assigns P&G notes Aa3

Moody's Investors Service said it rated the Procter & Gamble Co.’s 50-year senior unsecured floating-rate notes Aa3.

The agency affirmed P&G’s Aa3 long-term issuer rating on April 19, 2018.

The proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes including debt refinancing. “The issuance is viewed to be credit positive because it improves liquidity and lengthens the company's maturity profile,” the agency said in a press release.

The outlook is stable.
