S&P rates Procter & Gamble notes AA-

S&P said it gave an AA- issue-level rating to Procter & Gamble Co.'s planned senior unsecured notes.

P&G will use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, including shareholder distributions.

“The note offering will increase leverage slightly. All of our existing ratings on the company, including our AA- long-term issuer credit rating, are unchanged,” the agency said in a press release.

The outlook is stable.
