ProAssurance files automatic shelf covering stock, preferreds, debt

Knoxville, Tenn., May 21 - ProAssurance Corp. filed an automatic shelf registration in an S-3-ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers debt securities, common stock and preferred stock.

The securities may be structured as convertibles.

ProAssurance provides medical professional liability insurance and is based in Birmingham, Ala. It will use the proceeds for general corporate purposes.
