Moody's may upgrade Ukrainian banks

Moody's Investors Service said it placed the foreign-currency debt ratings of six Ukrainian banks on review for possible upgrade.

Ratings affected include the Ba3 long-term foreign-currency senior unsecured debt rating of Forum Bank, the Ba3 long-term foreign-currency subordinated debt rating of PrivatBank CJSC and the Ba2 long-term foreign-currency senior unsecured debt ratings of State Export-Import Bank of Ukraine (Ukreximbank), UkrSibbank, Savings Bank of Ukraine and Ukrsotsbank OJSC.

This rating action was triggered by the review for possible upgrade of the B1 local- and foreign-currency bond ratings and Ba3 country ceiling for foreign-currency bonds of the Ukrainian government, the agency said.
