PPL Electric offers first mortgage bonds via four bookrunners

Tupelo, Miss., June 11 – PPL Electric Utilities Corp. is offering first mortgage bonds in the primary market, according to a 424B5 filing on Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

BNP Paribas Securities Corp., Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC and Wells Fargo Securities LLC are the bookrunners.

Proceeds will be used to repay short-term debt and for general corporate purposes.

The energy and utility company is based in Allentown, Pa.
