S&P affirms PPL

Standard & Poor's said it affirmed its BBB corporate credit rating on PPL Corp. and its subsidiary PPL Energy Supply LLC.

The rating affirmation follows the completion of the agency's annual review of PPL.

The outlook is stable.

S&P added that the ratings on PPL primarily reflect the business and financial risk profiles of PPL Energy Supply, PPL's generation subsidiary, supplemented by the credit profiles of PPL Gas Utilities Corp. and certain investments in Latin American transmission and distribution companies.
