Fitch affirms Potomac, Delmarva, Atlantic City Electric

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed the outstanding ratings of Potomac Electric Power Co., Delmarva Power & Light and Atlantic City Electric Co.

The ratings affirmed include Potomac Electric Power's issuer default rating at BBB+, secured debt at A, senior unsecured notes at A- and short-term issuer default rating and commercial paper rating at F2; Delmarva Power & Light's issuer default rating at BBB+, secured debt at A, senior unsecured notes at A- and short-term issuer default rating and commercial paper rating at F2; and Atlantic City Electric's issuer default rating at BBB, secured debt at A-, senior unsecured notes at BBB+, preferred stock at BBB-, short-term issuer default rating and commercial paper rating at F2.

Potomac Electric's and Delmarva Power's BBB preferred stock ratings were withdrawn because the securities have been redeemed.

The outlook is stable.

The ratings reflect the low business risk of its regulated electric transmission and distribution operations in Maryland and the District of Columbia, Fitch said.
