S&P rates Potash notes A-

Standard & Poor’s said it assigned its A- issue-level rating to Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan Inc.’s (PotashCorp) proposed US$500 million senior unsecured notes due 2025.

“The ratings on PotashCorp reflect what we view as the company’s satisfactory business risk profile and modest financial risk profile,” said S&P credit analyst David Fisher in a news release.

The ratings also benefit from a one-notch uplift to reflect the strength of the company’s capital structure.
