Fitch upgrades Portugal to A-

Fitch Ratings said it upgraded Portugal's long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating to A- from BBB+.

The outlook is stable.

The upgrade of Portugal's IDRs reflects sustained debt reduction and fiscal metrics that have overperformed, among other factors.
