Popular forgoes offering of senior notes based on market feedback

Chicago, Dec. 14 - Popular, Inc. has decided not to proceed with an offering of senior notes after getting the results of the marketing period for the notes, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes were to be callable after two years and mature in December 2014.

Popular is a financial services provider based in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
