By Jennifer Lanning Drey

Portland, Ore., Sept. 18 - The hearing on Pope & Talbot Inc.'s wood pulp business asset buyers' motion to force Pope & Talbot to comply with the terms of the sale agreement was adjourned to Nov. 4, according to a Thursday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The hearing was originally scheduled for Thursday.

As previously reported, on July 7 asset purchaser International Forest Products Ltd. alleged that Pope & Talbot failed to deliver credits and make post-closing payments to third parties in accordance with the purchase agreement.

Pope & Talbot, a Portland, Ore.-based pulp and wood products company, filed for bankruptcy on Nov. 19, 2007. Its Chapter 11 case number is 07-11738.
