Poland may bring international bond sale in fourth quarter

By Wendy Van Sickle

Columbus, Ohio, Oct. 1 – Poland is considering issuing bonds on the international markets during the fourth quarter, depending on the market situation, according to a press release.

Poland is also considering issuing foreign bonds by private placement as part of its foreign financing, and expects to borrow €900 million to €1.1 billion from international financial institutions.

In the domestic market, the state plans a single auction during the fourth quarter of PLN 5 billion to PLN 10 billion Treasury bonds in the domestic market.

Three switching auctions aimed at domestic bonds maturing in October 2015 and in 2016 are also planned.

Those decisions will also depend on the market situation, according to the release.
