Fitch rates Poland eurobond A-
Fitch Ratings said it assigned the Republic of Poland's expected €1 billion five-year eurobond an A- rating, in line with Poland's long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating A-.
The outlook is stable.
"Poland has coped relatively well with the deteriorating external economic and financial environment. This reflects the country's relatively strong banking system, diverse economy and credible monetary and exchange rate regime, which underpins macroeconomic stability, medium-term growth prospects and convergence with EU average incomes," David Heslam, a director at Fitch, said in a statement.
