Steel Partners' nominee named chairman of Point Blank board

Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 28 - Point Blank Solutions, Inc. said James R. Henderson was elected chairman of the company's board of directors.

Steel Partners II, LP nominated Henderson for election to the board, it was reported previously.

Terry R. Gibson, General Merrill A. McPeak, Bernard C. Bailey and Robert Chefitz were also elected from the dissident slate.

Henderson has more than 26 years of experience as an operating executive with various companies, including defense companies such as ECC International Corp. and Aydin Corp., according to a Point Blank news release.

Point Blank is a Pompano Beach, Fla., producer of body armor systems for law enforcement and the military.
