Fitch affirms PNC

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed PNC's long-term issuer default rating at A+ and short-term issuer default rating at F1.

The outlook is stable.

The affirmation reflects the company's solid earnings and capital levels, strong liquidity profile and manageable asset quality deterioration to date, according to the agency.

The action also incorporates ongoing earnings pressure from various sources including mortgage repurchase costs, litigation accruals and regulatory related costs, the agency noted.
