S&P ups Plains All American outlook to positive

Standard & Poor's said it affirmed the BBB- corporate credit rating on Plains All American Pipeline LP, along with its senior unsecured debt rating at BBB-.

The outlook also was revised to positive from stable.

The outlook revision reflects Plains' improved credit profile, S&P said.

The partnership has steadily increased the size and geographic diversity of its assets through ongoing capital spending programs and acquisitions, the agency said.

Credit metrics improved during 2010, S&P said, and liquidity remains adequate with Plains demonstrating its ability to access the debt and equity markets again in early 2011.
