Moody's: Plains unchanged

Moody's Investors Service said it views the possible acquisition by Plains All American Pipeline, LP of SemGroup Corp. as neutral to Plains' Baa3 rating and stable outlook.

The acquisition enhances the company's business profile, while only modestly increasing leverage, Moody's said.

This assumes that Plains will fund the acquisition with a combination of equity and debt in accordance with past practice, the agency said.
