Pitney Bowes files automatic shelf registration

Knoxville, Tenn., June 18 - Pitney Bowes Inc. filed an automatic shelf registration in an S-3-ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers debt securities, preferred stock, preference stock, common stock, purchase contracts, depositary shares, warrants and units.

The preferreds and debt securities may be convertible.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

The mail processing equipment company is based in Stamford, Conn.
