By Toni Weeks

San Diego, Jan. 3 - The Pioneer Value Fund announced it has added Edward T. Shadek, Jr. as a portfolio manager of the fund.

Shadek joins John Peckham, who has managed the fund since 2010.

Shadek, a senior vice president of Pioneer, joined the firm in January 2012. Prior to that, he was co-founder and portfolio manager at Shaylor Capital and senior managing director and deputy head of investments at Putnam Investments.

Rod Wright is no longer a portfolio manager of the fund.

The fund's investment adviser is Boston-based Pioneer Investment Management, Inc.
