Pioneer Energy Services confirmation hearing stayed; mediation set

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, April 14 – Pioneer Energy Services Corp.’s Chapter 11 plan confirmation hearing and related deadlines have been stayed pending further order of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas, according to an order filed Monday.

The plan confirmation hearing had been scheduled for Wednesday.

The order also refers the company, its term lenders and members of an informal noteholder group to mediation to resolve case issues.

Judge Marvin Isgur will serve as mediator.

In conjunction with the mediation, the parties were instructed to begin to exchange documents requests and meet and confer on the scope of discovery requests.

A status conference is scheduled for April 17.

Pioneer Energy is a San Antonio-based drilling services company. The company filed bankruptcy on March 1 under Chapter 11 case number 20-31425.
