Pioneer Drilling investor Pebbleton increases ownership interest to 11.73%

Charlotte, N.C., March 2 - Pebbleton Corp. NV bought 990,300 shares of Pioneer Drilling Co. on Feb. 26 and Feb. 27.

The shares were priced at $3.84 and $3.80 each, according to a schedule 13D/A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday.

Between Feb. 17 and Feb. 24, Pebbleton bought 700,000 shares of Pioneer Drilling priced from $3.94 to $4.33 each for a 9.76% stake, a prior SEC filing said.

Pebbleton beneficially owns 5,867,000 shares, or 11.73%, of the company's outstanding stock.

Pioneer Drilling is a San Antonio-based provider of contract land drilling services to oil and gas exploration and production companies.
