Pimco plans to offer Emerging Markets Full Spectrum Bond Fund in 2013

By Toni Weeks

San Diego, Nov. 15 - Pimco Funds announced it will offer a new fund that invests in emerging-market debt securities, according to an N-1A filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The Pimco Emerging Markets Full Spectrum Bond Fund will seek maximum total return consistent with prudent investment management and will provide dynamic exposure to a broad range of emerging market fixed-income asset classes, such as currencies, external debt obligations of sovereign and corporate entities and local currency-denominated obligations of sovereigns and corporate issuers.

The portfolio manager has not yet been selected.

The fund will launch in early 2013 with D, P, institutional and administrative share classes. The ticker symbols have not yet been determined.

There will be no shareholder fees. Management fees and total annual fund operating expenses have not yet been set.

Newport Beach, Calif.-based Pimco will serve as the fund's investment adviser.
