Pimco adds Kofi Bentsi to manage emerging market corporate portfolios

Kansas City, Kan., June 11 - Pimco has hired Kofi Bentsi to be a senior vice president and emerging markets fixed income portfolio manager in the firm's Newport Beach, Calif., office, according to a news release.

"The global economy is undergoing a dramatic transformation and some of the most dynamic corporate investment opportunities are in companies based in emerging markets," said Michael Gomez, co-head of the emerging markets portfolio management team, in a news release.

"Kofi brings 16 years of experience in corporate and emerging markets investing, and further expands our global platform for tapping these opportunities for Pimco clients."

Bentsi will report to Gomez and Ramin Toloui in his work on emerging market corporate bond portfolios.

Pimco is an investment management firm based in Newport Beach.
