Moody's rates Piedmont Triad Airport, N.C., bonds AA2/VMIG 1

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an Aa2/VMIG 1 rating to Piedmont Triad Airport Authority, N.C.'s $65 million of airport revenue bonds, series 2008A.

Sale of the bonds was expected on Feb. 4.

The rating is based partly on a letter of credit provided by Branch Banking and Trust Co., which has an Aa2 long-term rating and Prime-1 short-term rating.
