Piedmont Natural Gas to sell 10-year notes via four bookrunners

Knoxville, Tenn., May 21 – Piedmont Natural Gas Co., Inc. intends to offer dollar-denominated fixed-rate senior notes due June 1, 2029, according a 424B5 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes feature a make-whole call until March 1, 2029 and then a par call.

BNP Paribas Securities Corp., Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, SMBC Nikko Securities America, Inc. and U.S. Bancorp Investments Inc. are the bookrunners.

Proceeds will be used to repay the company’s $350 million term loan, to pay down commercial paper and for general corporate purposes.

Piedmont is a Charlotte, N.C.-based natural gas distributor.
