Fitch rates Piedmont, S.C., bonds BBB+

Fitch Ratings said it assigned a BBB+ rating to the Piedmont Municipal Power Agency, S.C.'s $346 million of series 2008A and 2008B electric system revenue bonds.

The outlook is stable.

The bonds are expected to price around May 1.
