PIA Moderate Duration Bond Fund to liquidate on Oct. 31

By Toni Weeks

San Luis Obispo, Calif., Sept. 20 - The board of trustees of Advisors Series Trust announced it will close and liquidate the PIA Moderate Duration Bond Fund, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The decision was based upon a recommendation by the fund's investment adviser, Santa Monica, Calif.-based Pacific Income Advisers, Inc. The adviser concluded that it has not been able to generate sufficient assets in the fund to make the fund viable.

The fund, which invests primarily in investment-grade bonds, will liquidate its assets on Oct. 31.
