PhotoThera raises $30.5 million in series C funding

Erie, Pa., April 21 - PhotoThera Inc. said it closed a $30.5 million round of series C venture funding.

Proceeds from the funding will be used to continue development of the company's NeuroThera device.

Investors participating in the round included Delphi Ventures, DeNovo Ventures, Hamilton BioVentures, Warburg Pincus, The Vertical Group and Solstice Capital.

Located in Carlsbad, Calif., PhotoThera develops technology using infrared laser energy for the treatment of ischemic stroke.
