New Issue: Philippines sells PHP 4.26 billion 6½% bonds due 2038 to yield 6.85%

Olympia, Wash., April 24 – The Philippines Bureau of the Treasury auctioned PHP 4.26 billion of 6½% bonds due 2038 for an average yield of 6.85% on Tuesday, according to a notice.

The government initially offered PHP 10 billion of the bonds. Competitive bids were tendered for PHP 19,361,000,000 and accepted for PHP 4.26 billion. The government rejected PHP 15,101,000,000 of non-competitive bids.

The bonds were sold at an average price of 96.222, with prices ranging from 95.184 to 98.891.

Yields ranged from 6.6% to 6.95%.
