New Issue: Philippines sells PHP 8.5 billion 5¼% three-year bonds at 5.16% yield

New York, March 2 - The Philippines Bureau of the Treasury announced that it sold PHP 8.5 billion in a re-issue of its 5¼% bonds due Jan. 7, 2013 for an average yield of 5.16%.

The bonds were sold at an average price of 100.228, with an average yield of 5.16%.

Competitive bids were tendered for PHP 25.16 billion and accepted for PHP 5.1 billion, while non-competitive bids were tendered for PHP 5.5 billion and accepted for PHP 3.4 billion.

The bonds were originally issued on Jan. 7, 2010.
