New Issue: Philippines auctions PHP 8.5 billion 6¼% 5-year bonds to yield 6.178%

New York, May 12 - The Philippines Bureau of the Treasury announced that it sold PHP 8.5 billion in a re-opening of its 6¼% bonds due Jan. 27, 2014 for an average yield of 6.178%.

For the PHP 8.5 billion offering, bids were tendered for PHP 23.278 billion and accepted for PHP 8.5 billion.

The bonds were sold at an average price of 100.279, with prices ranging from 100.25 to 100.331.

Yields ranged from 6.165% to 6.185% with an average yield of 6.178%.
