Pharmed requests second exclusivity extension

By Jennifer Lanning Drey

Portland, Ore., April 25 - Pharmed Group Holdings, Inc. requested a one-month extension to its exclusive periods to file a plan of reorganization and solicit votes on the plan, according to a Friday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida.

The company wants to extend the exclusive plan filing period to May 26 from April 25 and the solicitation period to June 25 from May 25.

Pharmed said it is still working with its creditors committee to finalize a joint plan of reorganization and disclosure statement.

If granted, the extra time would represent the company's second exclusivity extension.

Pharmed, a Miami-based full-line distributor of medical, surgical and rehabilitative supplies, filed for bankruptcy Oct. 26. Its Chapter 11 case number is 07-191
