Pharmed requests two-month exclusivity extension to finalize plan terms

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Feb. 26 - Pharmed Group Holdings, Inc. requested an extension to its exclusive periods to file a liquidating plan of reorganization and solicit votes on the plan, according to a Monday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida.

The company wants to extend its exclusive plan-filing period to April 25 from Feb. 25 and the solicitation period to May 25.

The company said it has been in discussions with its official committee of unsecured creditors on the terms of a plan, but it needs more time to finalize and file the proposed plan and related disclosure statement.

Pharmed, a Miami-based full-line distributor of medical, surgical and rehabilitative supplies, filed for bankruptcy Oct. 26. Its Chapter 11 case number is 07-19187.
