Tampa, Fla., Aug. 11 - Pharmacyclics, Inc.'s board of directors has approved the termination of the company's stockholder rights plan, commonly referred to as a "poison pill," which was originally scheduled to expire April 30, 2007.

The amended plan will now expire Aug. 18, effectively terminating the plan as of that date.
