Pfizer to consider spinning off or selling consumer healthcare business

New York, Feb. 7 - Pfizer Inc. said it will be exploring strategic alternatives for its consumer healthcare business.

Options include retaining, spinning off or selling the business.

The New York-based pharmaceutical company said it is looking to unlock the value of the business for its shareholders at a time when market valuations are attractive for large, high-quality consumer businesses.
