Fitch rates Pfizer notes A

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an A rating to Pfizer, Inc.'s notes offering.

Pfizer will use the proceeds to finance or refinance, in whole or in part, projects that have environmental and/or social benefits, including new projects and projects that have received funding in the three years prior to the issuance of the notes.

The ratings apply to $51 billion of debt at Dec. 31, Fitch said.

The outlook is negative.
