Pfizer offers 10-year notes to fund eligible social impact projects

By Rebecca Melvin

New York, March 25 – Pfizer Inc. plans to price an offering of dollar-denominated 10-year notes with the proceeds earmarked for financing eligible social impact projects, according to a 424B3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday.

BofA Securities Inc., Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC and Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC are joint bookrunning managers of the SEC-registered deal.

Eligible projects include projects of Pfizer or any of its subsidiaries that have environmental and/or social benefits, including new projects and projects that have received funding in the three years prior to the issuance of the notes. These include spending on health care strengthening of low- and middle-income countries for underserved populations and for global health emergencies, including catalytic philanthropy to help make the world safer from infection, the filing said.

The biopharmaceutical company is based in New York.
