Peru files $2.2 billion shelf

Washington, Jan. 14 - The Republic of Peru filed a $2.2 billion debt securities, warrants and units shelf in an S-B registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Of the shelf, $1.566 billion is new and $634 million is being re-registered.

According to the filing, proceeds from offerings authorized by the shelf would be used for general purposes of the Peruvian government, including, but not limited to, financial investment and the refinancing, repurchasing or retiring of its domestic and external indebtedness.
