Peru files $5 billion shelf registration

Des Moines, May 23 - The Republic of Peru registered $5 billion of securities in an S-BMEF filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers debt securities, warrants and units. The debt securities may be convertible into other securities.

The filing includes $1 billion of previously registered but unsold securities.
