Moody's assigns PerkinElmer notes Baa3

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Baa3 rating to PerkinElmer Inc.'s new $500 million of senior unsecured notes due 2021. Moody's confirmed PerkinElmer's Baa3 senior unsecured rating on Oct. 18.

The outlook is negative.

Moody's also rated PerkinElmer's current $650 million unsecured revolving credit facility due 2012 Baa3.

Moody's said it understands the company is refinancing this facility. It expects to withdraw the rating on the 2012 facility once it has been repaid and terminated.
